How to apply

  1. Have your high school guidance counselor send a complete secondary school record and a recommendation from a teacher directly to the Admissions Office.
  2. Request that the results of the SAT or the ACT be sent to Mount St. Mary’s. The university’s CEEB number is 5421; the ACT number is 1726.

Application Deadlines

Regular freshman admission: Apply as early as possible during your senior year and no later than March 1. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. Applications received after March 1 are considered on a space-available basis.

Early action freshman admission: If Mount St. Mary’s is one of your top choices, why not apply early. Submit all application materials, including your high school transcript and SAT results through your junior year, by December 1. The Admissions Committee will tell you its decision by December 25. This early notification plan is nonbinding.

The typical accepted Mount student has a GPA ranging from 3.0 to 3.5 or a B/B+ average with a SAT score (math and critical reading sections only) of 1000-1200. We strongly consider involvement in extracurricular activities, particularly leadership roles.
